The programme
How big are the classes?
Each class has a maximum of 10 students.
Which exam boards do you cover?
Edexcel A and AQA. Each class is taught its own board's syllabus, never mixed between boards.
How much time does it take each week?
Econora Complete: 3 hours of live classes a week. Econora Core: 1 hour a week. Both include a 15-minute 1-to-1 check-in and a 30–45 minute timed assessment every two weeks.
When does the programme start? Can we join late?
Edexcel A and AQA classes started in the w/c 5th October, on both packages. All lessons are recorded and available on the student portal, so even if a student joins us late in the year, they can catch up easily. There are also AS Essentials materials for A2 students joining us.
What happens if my child misses a lesson?
Every live class is recorded and available on the student portal.
What if my child misses their 1-to-1 check-in?
Missed 1-to-1 check-ins can carry over to the next scheduled check-in as an extended session (only one carryover at a time).
Do you cover both AS and A2?
Yes. There are also AS essentials materials for A2 students joining us.
When is all the content covered by?
End of April.
The teaching
Who teaches the lessons?
Nikhil, a specialist in A-Level Economics. Students stay with the same teacher for the whole academic year.
How is this different from a private tutor?
Econora combines structure, specialist teaching, full syllabus coverage, and individual attention in a way that would cost you hundreds of pounds more a month with a private 1-to-1 tutor. Students on the Econora Core package will have experience with exam-style questions on every single topic in the syllabus by the time their real exam comes. Students on the Econora Complete package will get this plus full syllabus coverage by the end of April.
What is the 1-to-1 check-in and can I sit in?
A fortnightly 15-min 1-to-1 check-in & progress update with the student. Ask questions, flag concerns, check progress, and get live assessment feedback. Parents can join any session.
My child is on a D right now – is this for them?
Yes. If your child is on a D, then we suggest joining the Econora Complete package, as they likely need content teaching as well, not just exam-technique teaching.
My child is already on an A – is this for them?
Yes. If your child is on an A, then we suggest joining the Econora Core package, as they likely do not need content teaching as well. The difference between an A and an A* is almost always exam-technique proficiency, which is exactly what the Econora Core package is dedicated to.
The portal and support
What's in the student portal?
Resources such as slides & annotated model answers, all the student's live lessons recorded ready to rewatch, 1-to-1 bookings, progress tracking, the student's timetable, and more, all in one place.
Do parents get access?
Yes – parents get a parent portal with a progress tracker showing recent assessment feedback, attendance, and whether their child is on track to achieve their target grade.
How does WhatsApp support work?
A direct line to the teacher for both students & parents. Guaranteed reply within 12 hours, often much quicker.
Are lessons recorded?
Yes, every live lesson is recorded and available on the student portal for the student to rewatch to consolidate their learning.
Pricing and admin
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee: if you cancel within the first 14 days, you get a full refund.
When am I charged?
Your card is charged the day you sign up, then automatically on the same date every month after that, via Stripe.
Can we cancel?
Yes, anytime, no notice period – it's a rolling monthly subscription. Cancel within your first 14 days, and you get a full refund; access ends immediately. Cancel after that, and there's no refund for the current month, but you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Are there any extra costs?
No.

Practical
What equipment does my child need?
A laptop or tablet, a stable internet connection, a webcam (optional), and a microphone for the live classes and 1-to-1.
What platform are lessons on?
